12:30 PM - 1:30 PM (CT)
Event Type
Department of History

Due to Hurricane Zeta, we have postponed "The Mitzvah" until Tuesday, November 10 @ 12:30pm. This is to accommodate all of those affected by the hurricane, including many of my students. For those still interested, you may still sign up to participate, using the link below.

The Department of History will have the pleasure and honor of hosting Roger Grunwald again to perform his one-man show, The Mitzvah. The performance and lecture engages with the fascinating story of Hitler's Jewish Soldiers. After watching the performance, there will be a presentation and Q&A.

Roger, a San Francisco-based actor, will be showing a video recording of his performance and will be leading a presentation and Q&A during this 75 minute session. Roger's performance is sponsored by the Gulf Coast Holocaust and Human Right Education Center.

If you want to know more about The Mitzvah, please visit this Also, watch the trailer for the performance.
