Put on your best Jag Wear and follow the bells to the academic start of the year at this years Convocation.  This signature event welcomes new students and faculty to the University and is a time to welcome back returning students, faculty, staff and administration for Fall semester. This campus-wide gathering offers the opportunity to connect to the academic community at South Alabama. We will celebrate student engagement, recognize accomplishments, and celebrate the beginning of a new academic year.  Convocation day begins for Freshmen with the 2024 Class Picture.  Red, white, or blue Jag gear, or other red, white, or blue attire is recommended; first year students are asked to come to the Mitchell Center by 10:30 a.m.  Convocation begins at 11:00 a.m. and will feature a welcome from our President, a student speaker, and words from one of our Alumni.
